Specialty Builds
Basketball, pickleball and multi-sport courts you can use in January.
An indoor court turns the longest Calgary winter into a season of play. It's also one of the most demanding rooms to build: it needs height, a column-free span and a floor that's kind to joints.
Kay2 plans courts as part of the house, in an addition, a lower level or a new build, with the structure, sport flooring, lighting and ventilation designed together.
Local expertise
With snow on the ground for much of the year, an indoor court gives Calgary families somewhere to play basketball, pickleball or volleyball every month of the year.
Courts need clear height and wide, column-free spans, so in Calgary they are usually built in an addition, a new lower level or a new home, often on larger lots in communities such as Springbank. Kay2 handles the structure, permits and finishes as one project.

Usually in a purpose-built addition or a new lower level, because courts need more clear height and span than standard rooms. We assess your lot and structure at the consultation.
Kay2 builds the room: the structure, clear height, sport flooring, lighting, ventilation and finishes. Hoops, nets and other equipment are coordinated with your preferred supplier and installed once the room is ready.
It depends on the sports you play. Multi-sport tile and sprung hardwood systems are common. We specify the flooring with you during design.
