The website gives general information about renovation, design, permits and costs in Calgary and area. It is not professional, legal, financial, engineering or tax advice, and it is not an offer, estimate or quote for your project.
Prices, cost ranges, timelines and examples on the website and in our guides, including the free cost guide, are general estimates based on typical projects. Your actual price depends on your home, design, selections, site conditions, permits and market prices, and is set only in a written estimate or contract signed by Kay2.
Laws, codes, permit rules, rebates and programs change. Guides describing them were accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date shown, but always confirm current requirements with the City of Calgary, the Province of Alberta or another official source before acting.
Your project
Any work we do for you is governed by a separate written contract. If that contract conflicts with anything on the website, the contract applies.
Photos and illustrations
Project photos on the website show work by Kay2 unless stated otherwise. Some images are labelled "illustrative" or are design concepts. They show the kind of space we can create and are not photos of a completed Kay2 project. Finishes, colours and materials may look different in person than on screen.
Awards and reviews
We describe awards, finalist recognitions and reviews as accurately as we can, with the year and program. Reviews are the opinions of the clients who wrote them. Past results do not guarantee the outcome of a future project.
Intellectual property
The website and its content, including text, photographs, videos, designs, drawings, guides, logos and the Kay2 name, belong to Kay2 or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view, download and print pages and guides for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or use them for commercial purposes, or use our name or logos, without our written permission.
Acceptable use
When using the website, you agree not to:
- Submit false information, or information about another person without their permission.
- Send spam or automated submissions, or try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems.
- Copy or scrape content in bulk, or use it to train automated systems, except as allowed by law.
Links to other websites
The website links to other sites, such as government resources, award programs, review platforms and social media. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
No warranty
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the website, including that it will be error-free, complete, current or uninterrupted. Warranties for construction work are set out only in your contract and in applicable new home warranty legislation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kay2 and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or any loss of profit, data or opportunity, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the website will be heard in the courts of Alberta in Calgary.
