Kay2's Chestermere Lake pool and spa addition helped earn our second BILD Calgary Region Renovator of the Year title. We design and build luxury renovations, additions and specialty rooms for Chestermere homeowners.
Chestermere sits just east of Calgary, a short drive from the Kay2 Showroom and Design Centre in SE Calgary. Chestermere homeowners work with the same team and process as our Calgary clients, with in-house design at no extra charge, a fixed-price contract signed before construction starts, and one project manager from planning to handover.
Lakeside homes bring their own challenges. On our Chestermere Lake project, a high water table meant designing additional foundation support and drainage for a 1,000 sq ft lower-level pool and spa addition, along with the waterproofing and ventilation an indoor pool needs to last. At the 2022 BILD Calgary Region Awards the home won Best Home Renovation with Addition and Best Kitchen Renovation over $125,000, and Kay2 was named Renovator of the Year.
Chestermere is its own city, so building permits for renovations and additions there are issued by the City of Chestermere rather than the City of Calgary. Kay2 plans permits, lead times and each phase of the work before construction begins.
