Our team

The people behind Calgary's Renovator of the Year.

Designers, estimators, project managers and craftspeople under one roof, so the home you approve on paper is the home you get.

Moe Saghir, Founder & Managing Director at Kay2 Contracting

Founder & Managing Director

Moe Saghir

Moe founded Kay2 Contracting and leads its project management, team and construction methods. Under his leadership Kay2 has twice been named BILD Calgary Region Renovator of the Year and won a CHBA National Award for Housing Excellence.

“Good isn't enough. I always strive to deliver products and services of exceptional quality that add value to all involved for the long term.”

How we work

Four disciplines. One project manager.

Every Kay2 project draws on the same in-house team, coordinated by the person who planned it.

01

Design

In-house designers produce architectural drawings, space plans, 3D concepts and millwork drawings, and guide finish selections at the Showroom.

02

Estimating

Estimators lead the complimentary consultation, turn your wish list into a priced scope and recommend options you may not have considered.

03

Project management

One project manager plans the schedule, coordinates permits and trades, and sends your weekly status email.

04

Site crews & trades

Kay2 crews and certified electrical, plumbing and gas trades build to the drawings and leave the site clean every day.

The team

The people you'll work with.

Designers, estimators, project managers and the office team who keep every Kay2 project on track.

Deneen, Chief Financial Officer, Kay2 Contracting

Deneen

Chief Financial Officer

Born and raised in Calgary, Deneen has been an integral part of Kay2 since day one. As Chief Financial Officer she works behind the scenes, overseeing the company's finances, contracts and the many essential details that keep everything running smoothly. Her dedication goes beyond the numbers: she genuinely cares about Kay2's clients and takes great pride in seeing each renovation come to life.

Suzette, Construction Manager, Kay2 Contracting

Suzette

Construction Manager

With more than 30 years in the construction industry, Suzette brings a lifetime of knowledge and passion to her role as Construction Manager. Growing up surrounded by renovations, she understood the industry from an early age. A valued member of the Kay2 team for almost five years, her dedication, attention to detail and genuine care for her clients are at the heart of everything she does. Suzette takes pride in keeping every project running smoothly while making homeowners feel supported throughout their renovation.

Carolina, Lead Interior Designer, Kay2 Contracting

Carolina

Lead Interior Designer

Carolina holds a Master's in Architecture with a focus on architectural interior design. She brings renovation planning, 3D modelling, rendering and project coordination to every project, creating timeless, functional spaces through a thoughtful mix of materials, texture and detail. Clients know her for her clear communication, warmth and attention to detail. Her favourite part of the job is selecting materials, bringing them together and seeing the finished home come to life.

“A home should feel warm, safe and personal. I want every client to feel understood, listened to and fully supported.”

Trever, Project Manager, Kay2 Contracting

Trever

Project Manager

With more than 35 years in the construction industry, Trever brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to every project. He started his career as a labourer, worked his way up to leading crews in the field, and became a Project Manager. A valued member of the Kay2 team for over 10 years, Trever's experience, attention to detail and genuine care for his clients make sure every project runs smoothly and homeowners feel confident throughout their renovation.

Jeff, Sales & Estimating, Kay2 Contracting

Jeff

Sales & Estimating

After a bachelor's degree in technical theatre, Jeff spent 20 years working across a wide range of industries in Canada and the United States, from set construction to education to commercial windows. Home renovation offered the balance he was looking for: variety, ingenuity, hands-on work and real relationships with clients and trades. Today he brings that experience to guiding clients through the possibilities of transforming their home, while keeping plans practical. He especially enjoys explaining each step, so first-time renovators feel at ease. Outside Kay2, Jeff applies the same principles to the happy chaos of a young family and pets.

Wissam, Project Coordinator, Kay2 Contracting

Wissam

Project Coordinator

With more than seven years in the construction industry, Wissam began his career as a labourer in the field before moving into his role as Project Coordinator at Kay2. That hands-on experience gives him a real understanding of the construction process from start to finish. Wissam keeps projects organized and on track, in constant communication with clients and trades so everyone stays informed. His dedication, strong communication and commitment to teamwork make him a valued member of the team.

Susan, Office Administrator, Kay2 Contracting

Susan

Office Administrator

Susan keeps Kay2's day-to-day operations organized and running smoothly. Since joining the company in 2021, she has become involved in many parts of the administrative and financial side of our projects: accounts payable, accounts receivable support, contract preparation, purchase orders, invoice processing and review, and subcontractor documentation. She supports the team, clients, trades and vendors throughout each project, and enjoys keeping the administrative side on track from start to finish.

Krishna, Interior Design Assistant, Kay2 Contracting

Krishna

Interior Design Assistant

Krishna graduated with a degree in Architecture in the Philippines, then completed a diploma in Interior Decorating at Bow Valley College, and brings more than eight years of experience in showroom staging, visual merchandising and decorating. Architecture taught Krishna structure, proportion and function; decorating taught how finishes, furniture, colour and details transform a space. The approach is practical, functional and client-focused: while Krishna gravitates toward Mid-Century Modern and French Provincial, every space should reflect the lifestyle and personality of the people who use it. Outside work, Krishna enjoys camping, crafting, binge-watching shows and, above all, Christmas decorating.

“Instead of always thinking outside the box, I ask: what can I do within the box, and how can I make the most of it?”

Janine, Reception & Scheduling, Kay2 Contracting

Janine

Reception & Scheduling

Janine moved to Canada from the UK about 15 years ago. Before joining Kay2 she worked in restoration, out in the field helping people through floods, fires and asbestos, which taught her how much it matters to listen, stay calm and make people feel supported. She has been Kay2's receptionist and appointment scheduler for about four and a half years. Her favourite part of the role is speaking with clients, answering their questions, helping them feel comfortable and connecting them with the right person on the team. Away from work, you'll usually find her looking after her two cats or binge-watching a good crime series.

“I enjoy being one of the first points of contact for our clients, and helping make their experience with Kay2 a positive one from the very beginning.”
