We purchased a house which backs onto a sound wall and had a 5 ft slope. The previous owners installed a large deck extension to utilize the flat ground and small end of the slope but this rendered about %40 of the yard “dead space”. We didn’t know how to fix the issue but we knew we needed more space. We called 3 contractors but Kay2 was the one caught our attention. Their estimator really seemed to understand what we wanted and created an amazing plan for our yard. They removed the extension, excavated the yard, built a retaining wall and installed new sod. We now have a completely different yard! We had no idea how big it actually was and can now utilize all of it!
I could not be happier with the project and the neighbours love the change as well. The project went very smoothly. First framers, then excavation, then stone and then sod. I was given a detailed schedule with my estimated completion date and the whole project was done over about 11 days. They even saved the existing pergola and rebuilt it on another part of the deck! We plan to use Kay2 again to fill my new retaining wall with trees later this summer and extend the deck lengthwise along the house. Highly recommended. Will update!
